The fight against hospital infections is the task of O.M.S. which each nation needs to embrace.

We are an agency that for over 40 years, sidekicks Italian hospitals to help the fight against hospital infections, bringing into the game our research, which actuates a system which is able to diminish the microorganism load in hospitals. In other words, we perfect  a fully functional environmental sanitization for hospitals.

The LINDA system  Low Impact Necessary Development for Ambient is a Hospital sanitization method designed by DUGONI FACILITY MANAGEMENT In Italy, for its own use, developed in 40 years of applied research in hospitals

The LINDA system was designed with the use of dedicated software, which is able to design the correct action and which will monitor the process which is to follow, documenting along the way with bio chemical and microbiological tests the results of the lowering of the bacterial load in the environment

The LINDA system utilizes state of the art technological solutions, designed for the quick learning and integration by means of on sight training (theory and practical) supported by modules and videos offered in a variety of languages

The LINDA system consists of chemical products made up of composite formulas that have a detergent and disinfecting action, and of low impact to the environment, that were designed for the safety and care of the workers

The LINDA system includes a control methodology based on physio-chemical and microbiological tests, without the need of laboratories



Of low environmental impact, it reduces 90% the consumption of water, and less 80% of chemical emissions in the environment

SPECIFIC TECHNIQUES FOR THE BRASIL PROJECT

The organization of a hospital normally sees each department directed by the Director, wWho is the specialist of a specific sector and who holds all the decision making power. Often he does not have the time to worry about minor details regarding the various techniques and methods used for the cleaning and sanitizing of the environment. And normally does not accept any actions which can keep the nurses from doing their own work

That is exactly what the ANVISA manual specifies “the sanitizing of an area is up to the good sense of the operating staff”.

The L.I.N.D.A system foresees and all round information and staff formation system, used to create a better philosophy around the decision making sectors of the various departments of a hospital.

First of all eliminate the dust

First of all we study the hospital unit as a whole, in order to prevent dust contamination. Then we plan the procedure used to remove the dust.

The dust must be gathered not moved around

State of the art floor wash cloths that use 90% less water and less 80% of chemical product usage.
1500 folds of the cloth.

The cloth is studied in order to lay the detergent and disinfectants evenly, and to carry out the task of gathering the dirt.

The dry cloth weighs 35 gr, damp 225 gr and after usage 125 gr. In other words it releases 100 gr of the solution, after being used to wash 15–20 m2.

The cloth, once the 100g of deterging solution has been used, grips on the surface making it difficult for the operator to use. Thus ensuring it reaches its intended usage. Of  15-20 m2 In order to guarantee correct disinfecting.

Preparation of the detergent and disinfectant at the time of use.

To “Disinfect” means to kill the highest number of micro-organisms. Meanwhile deterging means to take out the dirt.
At the moment in Brazil the two actions are applied separately which entails a higher number of human resources, as well as higher water and detergent consumption.

Chemistry at our service

LINDA utilizes chemical product doses, that have a combined deterging and sanitizing action, with a chemical compound studied and produced on commission in Brazil.

The disinfecting agent dcc-na , is available in capsules therefore the ppm content of chlorine , are measurable according to the necessity

 

Given the chemical stability of dccna , in time its solubility and its compatibility with other detergents , it allows instant usage of a deterging solution, which is extremely efficient it can be used in any situation of the sanitation process.

Usage / Damage

In Italy as it occurs in Brazil there are still a lot of companies that use compounds containing sodium chloride and of high ammonia content and containing parasitic acids. We ourselves used these products before the discovery of dcc-na.

Its limits where that they were deactivated with the presence of organic substances . As well as the instability once in contact with light, temperature changes and aging of the products . The aggressiveness on the surfaces and the health risks of the operators.

 

Not to mention the environmental impacts and its running costs, and the difficulty to train personnel on the usage.

Dugoni uses dcc-na for the last 8 years, first testing on a few locations, and then for the last 5 years in all our venues.

And there are no disadvantages.

…ALCOHOL IS NOT NEEDED…

No Alcohol

The LINDA system does not foresee the use of alcohol, in Italy it is banned, due to its flammability, and the damages caused on plastics, not to mention on the operators.

…THE CONTROL SYSTEM IN LINDA…

Control system

The efficiency of the LINDA sanitizing system, must t be controlled periodically or each time the sanitary circumstances impose the safety of the result.

These controls occur in samples, following the uni-en-iso 2859 regulations.

The system has two types of self-monitoring the results. One is so called systematically the other on the bacterial load.

The systematic control is based on pre-determined protocols which tries to investigate the correct execution of the cleaning action of the various locations (low/medium/high risk) with a visual and objective test of dirt and dust levels, using a specific instrument, which is recognized by the uni-en-iso 13549 regulations.

 

The control on the bacterial load is carried out by the use of slides (system mygicult iso 18593/04), which analyzes the total bacterial load, and the fecal content. The slides are rubbed against the surfaces and incubated for 24 hours at 37 degrees and are used to simulate the colonial growth and the contamination of e-coli bacteria.

The data is then stored on the IT system, which keeps an historical record to be used for statistics.
